tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7176045.post-1166700181021179462006-12-21T14:23:00.000+03:002006-12-21T14:23:01.030+03:002006-12-21T14:23:01.030+03:00Access 2007 compact bug<p></p> <p>Several people already <a href="http://groups.google.com/group/comp.databases.ms-access/browse_frm/thread/8cc242dac63ed724/b73d85a0f728467d?tvc=1&q=Access+2007+showed+a+message#b73d85a0f728467d">reported</a> in newsgroups, that when they compact Access 2007 database – Access 2007 shows a message, that database will be saved as MDB and then it gone. <b>Completely!</b> Don’t know if this is a real bug, but Access 2007 users should be aware of this misbehavior. While we get some patch or workaround for this – I suggest to make a copy of database before compacting it, like previous version of Jet did, and if compact fails – then you have a backup. <p>If you get this problem – try to look at Temp folder, perhaps something left there...</p>Alex Dybenkohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16954512620659022712noreply@blogger.com2
