Try Access 2007 online

Microsoft now offering to run Office 2007 beta on remote environment - Take the 2007 Microsoft Office release out for a test drive!, so you don’t need to install beta software on your PC. Not sure that you can really upload your Access application there in order to test new Access on it, looks like all connections to internet is closed in remote session, and copy/paste between local and remote PC does not work either. But if you want to look at new Office features – this is a great opportunity!

Interesting fact, what Microsoft running Office trial on Citrix server, not using own Terminal server…

Network Traffic Analyzer

Access is very sensitive to the quality of the network. Once you have one bad network card on your network – and it can cause frequent corruptions of database. Personally I recommend using managed switch in network environment, where you can see which card produces errors. But there is also software solution, I just learned from Microsoft Public Newsgroups discussion - Ethereal® network analyzer. Did not use it yet, but once I get chance to do so – will publish results here.

So I decided to solve this issue for myself somehow, and I made an add-in, which switches Name AutoCorrect feature for any opened database. I like it, and now it is available for free download - AutoCorrectOff Add-in. Hope it will help you also. Comments are welcome.
